Ndumiso

Ndumiso Mnguni

Radio DJ, Content and
Technical Producer

Growing up I used to like writing a lot, I wrote everything from keeping diaries to writing poems for my crushes.”

When I got to Damelin, I was welcomed by a student advisor who asked me about my interests and strengths and helped me channel this towards the career of my choice. She told me about Journalism and Media Studies, and I thought this is perfect because I knew I wanted to write.

I did my first two years in Durban and finished off my third year in JHB Braamfontein campus. There I started my side hustles to help my mom with bills. I moved to Damelin PMB for the remainder of my third year.

Ndumiso kickstarted his career at Ugu Youth Radio and is now a content producer, technical producer and presenter for two shows. Ndumiso says if he changes at least one life through the topics he talks about and the content he produces, his goal will be reached.
